[Case Study] Coating of Cutting Blades
Expecting release properties with boron content! A case of proposing silicone resin + boron-based paint.
We would like to introduce a case where we applied a coating to a cutting blade at our company. When cutting film with a cutting blade heated to 360°C, we received a request to prevent the film (hot helmet) from sticking to the cutting blade. In response, we proposed a silicone resin combined with a boron-based paint. With a heat resistance of 800°C, it poses no issues for a cutting blade heated to around 360°C, and since it contains boron, we can also expect good release properties. [Case Overview] ■ Background of the Request - Prevention of film (hot helmet) sticking to the cutting blade ■ Proposed Solution - Proposed silicone resin combined with boron-based paint - Heat resistance of 800°C, so no issues at around 360°C - Contains boron, allowing for expected release properties *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
